UCBR Day for Girls

Repeats every month on June, July, August on the fourth Friday 3 times.

UCBR Day for Girls will continue to meet 4 sessions per month, but on the 2nd & 4th Fridays, 6:00 - 9:00pm  (Fellowship Hall) AND the 2nd & 4th Saturdays, 9:00 am -12:00noon (Room 5) through August.

Childcare is available on 2nd Friday evenings.

A light meal will be provided for participants, beginning at 6:00pm.

Cleanup will be from 8:30-9:00pm for those who can stay & help.

The first 30 minutes of the meeting will be spent sharing a lite meal and engaging in dialogue.  Beginning in July,  this meal time will also include lighting a chalice, sharing a centering meditation and listening to a summary of a chapter of the book, Periods Gone Public: Taking a Stand For Menstrual Equity by Jennifer Weiss-Wolf.  We hope that dialogue will spontaneously follow as we sew & construct parts of the DfG’s kits from 7-8:30pm.

If you are interested in participating, please look for our sign up sheet in the Fellowship Hall.  Remember, sewing skills are NOT required to participate, as we have many non-sewing jobs.  In addition, participants can attend one or both of the Friday and Saturday sessions.  Volunteers may also arrive & depart as their schedules allow. We look forward to welcoming new team members!
