Our Whole Lives (OWL) Training

Ends around 9:00 p.m.

Our Whole Lives is the UUA's acclaimed comprehensive, lifespan sexuality education curricula. We will be training our facilitators this August 16-18. This fall and next spring we will be offering classes for several age groups (K-1, 4-5, 6-7, and 8-9). From the UUA's website: "Honest, accurate information about sexuality changes lives. It dismantles stereotypes and assumptions, builds self-acceptance and self-esteem, fosters healthy relationships, improves decision making, and has the potential to save lives. Our Whole Lives helps participants make informed and responsible decisions about their sexual health and behavior. With a holistic approach, Our Whole Lives provides accurate, developmentally appropriate information about a range of topics, including relationships, gender identity, sexual orientation, sexual health, and cultural influences on sexuality." Thank you to our volunteers who are willing to spend a weekend learning how to facilitate at four different age levels, to the families who are eager to participate in it, and to the church for supporting this vital program.
