"A well-ordered congregation lays down schedules, puts policies on paper, places people in positions, and generally brings order out of chaos."  Dan Hotchkiss, Governance and Ministry: Rethinking Board Leadership

The Governance Task Force is working hard to keep our governance transition on schedule. Last month we began an in depth review of our by-laws to identify what needs to be changed or added to be in concordance with the new governance system.   As we work through these changes we will bring them to the Board for review.  We will also be holding "By-law Question & Answer" sessions this month after both services on March 16th and March 23rd.  We want everyone to have an opportunity to review the changes and make suggestions well before our congregational meeting in April.

The Governance Task Force and the Policy Governance Committee would like to thank everyone who participated in the inaugural Town Hall meeting in February.  The turnout was great and each groups' conversation was thoughtful and full of insightful comments.  The likes and wishes, as discussed in the groups, will help inform the Board and Staff as they work on the annual vision of ministry later this spring.  We're compiling notes and will submit a Town Hall Report to the congregation in the coming weeks.   Many thanks to Dottie Kelly and the Connections Council for partnering with us and getting us organized!
