A friendly reminder that all is well between Lamine Yamal and Dani Carvajal! Despite the recent Clasico altercation, Spain’s coach, De la Fuente, has put any concerns to rest.
In a recent interview, De la Fuente emphasized that the relationship between these two football stars remains strong. He shared, “I’ve had conversations with both players, and we’ve covered various topics. With Dani, we primarily discussed his injury, which is a top priority. As for Lamine, we also talked about his injury and other matters, and everything was perfectly normal. I was confident that if both players were available, there would be no issues whatsoever.”
But here’s where it gets controversial… De la Fuente also addressed claims that Yamal’s previous comments disrespected Carvajal or Real Madrid. He strongly emphasized the importance of respect, stating, “Respect is non-negotiable. With respect, we can build anything. However, we must be mindful of our words and expressions, as they can be taken out of context.”
De la Fuente defended Yamal’s intentions, but he also acknowledged that the timing of Yamal’s comments could have been better. “Maybe it wasn’t the ideal moment,” he said. “In that specific context and at that time, a joke might not have been well-received.”
