Hello Dee, thank you for reaching out. When setting the date and time for the Dualscan Prime Thermometer, • Turn on the device so that the time displays on the screen.
• Press and hold the ‘SET’ button to enter the settings mode. There will be a
12hr or 24hr flashing on the screen.
• In the settings mode you will use ‘MEM’ to toggle between options and use
‘SET’ to move on to the next setting
• Using the ‘MEM’ and ‘SET’ buttons select the time format, hour, minute,
year, month, day, and sleep mode activation.
• Sleep mode being active will turn off the thermometer after 1-3 minutes of
inactivity. If sleep mode is deactivated, the thermometer will remain with
power continuously.
Note: For saving battery power, it is recommended to set Sleep Mode to ON.

Super easy to use. Took a minute to figure out the ear and forehead modes, but it was as easy as selecting the right button on the top. Accurate reading and super fast. Great value for 20 bucks!

It was a bit tricky at first when figuring out when it starts scanning and when it stops but once we got it working, it is actually very easy.
